American country music singer and songwriter Kelsea Ballerini chose the song “Better Luck Next Time” by Darius Coleman among the original creations that were pitched by upcoming songwriters on Songland.
Kelsea Ballerini and the chart-topping producers and songwriters Ester Dean, Ryan Tedder and Shane Mcanally were bowled over by Darius Coleman’s performance. Ryan and Kelsea agreed they were “covered in goosebumps” while Darius sang the tweaked version of his original creation. Kelsea commented, “It’s beautiful. I loved what you did to us.”
Darius Coleman is from Philadelphia and has written songs for Fox’s ‘Empire’. He has already released an EP titled “What I’m Trying to Say”.
