Apple’s chief designer Jony Ive (Sir Jonathan Paul Ive) is leaving Apple after decades to form his independent design company — with Apple as one of its primary clients.
Jony Ive, who joined Apple in 1992, is a British industrial designer who is the outgoing Chief Design Officer (CDO) of Apple and Chancellor of the Royal College of Art in London. He is the designer of iPhone, Mac, iPod and a lot more.
Jony Ive is leaving Apple to set up his own design company called “LoveFrom”.
After nearly 30 years and countless projects, I am most proud of the lasting work we have done to create a design team, process and culture at Apple that is without peer.

Jony Ive’s new firm, LoveFrom, will be based in California and reports say the new design company will focus on wearable technology.
