Actress Zendaya owned the Met Gala 2019 with a magical Cinderella gown by Tommy Hilfiger, with her stylist Law Roach as her fairy godmother.
Zendaya stepped onto the red carpet like the Disney princess Cinderella, complete with blonde hair and a tiny bag shaped like the pumpkin coach in the movie.
When “godmother” Law Roach waved his wand, Zendaya’s gown lit up slowly from the inside, and it glowed all the way up to her sleeves.

The magical Cinderella gown of Zendaya is well in keeping with the Met Gala theme for 2019, which is “camp”.
What is the Met Gala? What is ‘Camp’?
The Met Gala, also known as the Met Ball, is an annual fundraising event for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.
Formally called the Costume Institute Gala, the yearly event celebrates the theme of the Costume Institute exhibition.
For 2019, the theme is “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, inspired by the seminal essay “Notes on Camp” by American writer and political activist Susan Sontag.
The literary icon defined ‘camp’ as the “love for the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration.” Others have defined it as over-the-top and extreme.
