After a server downtime, Destiny 2 game developer, Bungie, confirmed that they will release Destiny 2 update today.
Patch Notes for Destiny 2 Update 2.2.2 are now available. Stay tuned for updates on the status of maintenance.
But the server downtime didn’t stop there. They also announced they needed to extend the maintenance by 3 hours.
Destiny 2 maintenance has been extended by 3 hours. Expected completion is now 2 PM PDT. Please stay tuned for updates. Xbox players won’t be able to log in until the update becomes available.
Within two hours after posting the tweet above, they confirmed that the said maintenance had been completed.
Destiny 2 maintenance is complete. Console players who encounter issues updating to 2.2.2 should reset their console and try downloading the update. Players who observe issues should report to the Help forum: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Topics/?tg=Help&tSort=3&tType=0&d=0&lang=en
Though the maintenance has been completed, some players like this one say that Destiny 2 servers are still down.
Servers are still down @Bungie. I was playing other games & watching YouTube waiting for you to fix your mistakes. When you increase the time it takes for maintenance to be complete then you lose your fan base for the day because we will be doing other stuff.
