Team Legend’s Kayslin Victoria (age 16) and Oliv Blu (age 20) sang “Location” by Khalid during The Voice Battles Season 16 (2019).
At the end of their performance, coaches Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and John Legend praised both contestants. But Team Coach John Legend picked Kayslin Victoria as the winner of the battle.
Legend said he does not have any girl pop singer on his team like Kayslin. He noted that Kayslin is really good at “commanding the stage”, is confident in her voice and hits the notes like it’s nothing to her.
After Oliv Blu hugged and thanked John Legend, Blake Shelton pressed the button for the steal.

That was awesome. I love that song. I love how you guys did it. That was close. I mean, Oliv, you had some crazy, jazzy, cool little runs in there that I loved so much.
And, Kayslin, you’re so good. Honestly, it’s just stylistically kind of different. But you’re both great.
Blake Shelton
John’s got a tough one here because on one hand Kayslin, she’s 16. The development that could happen, that’s enticing, you know.
Where Oliv is – when I think of who you probably have a kinship with musically, especially with the notes that you were scatting, or whatever you call that, that’s a different wavelength.
So, at the end of the day, that’s really a team call. Now you know how it feels to not have any help from the other coaches.
Kelly Clarkson
I was hanging on every single syllable that you were doing, Oliv, and I thought the style was there.
But Kayslin, you have a gigantic voice, especially for such a little human. I think I could give you any song, you know, and you could nail it.
John Legend
I am truly up in the air right now because Oliv came out here and just owned every moment and she performed it with such confidence and swagger, but Kayslin is a fantastic singer. You just feel like, though you’re only 16, you’ve been doing this for a long time.
So I’m truly conflicted, and I’m thinking about my team. I’m gonna say the winner of this battle is Kayslin.
