“Special” is a semi-autobiographical comedy about a gay man with cerebral palsy in his mid-20s coming of age by starting his first real job, beginning his first adventures in dating, and moving into his first apartment away from his mother.
This American upcoming TV comedy series set to premiere on Netflix is based on the memoir “I’m Special: And Other Lies We Tell Ourselves” (2015) by Ryan O’Connell, who also stars, writes, and executive produces the series.
