The American biographical comedy-drama film ‘Green Book’ won as Best Picture in the 91st Academy Awards or Oscars 2019 held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California on February 24, 2019.
‘Green Book’ also took home two more trophies: Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali and Best Original Screenplay for Nick Vallelonga, Brian Currie, and Peter Farrelly.
Blockbuster “Bohemian Rhapsody”, the biographical film about Freddie Mercury, took home 4 awards including Best Actor for Rami Malek, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Sound Editing.
The other films with multiple awards are “Roma”, which won for Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film, and Best Cinematography; and Black Panther which bagged trophies for Best Original Score, Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.
