A tale of the bungling of Armageddon features an angel, a demon, an 11-year-old Antichrist, and a doom-saying witch.
The upcoming six-part TV series is adapted from the 1990 novel “Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch” by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. The screenplay was written by Gaiman based on the novel.
Set in 2018, the mini-series follow the demon Crowley (David Tennant) and the angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), who seek to prevent the coming of the antichrist and the final battle between Heaven and Hell.
The series is set to be released in 2019 on Amazon Prime. A conventional broadcast on BBC Two will follow the release on Amazon Prime.
