Stand-up comedian Preacher Lawson (age 27) gave an outstanding performance on the first episode of “America’s Got Talent (AGT): The Champions” on January 7, 2019.
Preacher Lawson started his roughly 2 minute act by talking about being vegan. From there, he went on to talk about having a white girlfriend.
With every punch line Preacher Lawson utters, the audience explodes in laughter. Judges Mel B, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell enjoyed them too.
After his performance, Preacher received thunderous applause and everyone gave him a standing ovation, including the judges.

At the end of the show, Preacher Lawson received the highest votes among the performers (except Susan Boyle). Singer-composer Bianca Ryan and contortionist Sofie Dossi received the second-highest and third-highest number of votes by the end of the show, respectively.
But only Preacher Lawson advanced to the finale, along with singer Susan Boyle (age 57), who advanced immediately after receiving the Golden Buzzer from judge Mel B.
The rest of the Got Talent finalists and winners who performed on the first AGT Champions episode were eliminated.
Preacher Lawson was one of the 10 finalists on Season 12 of America’s Got Talent in 2017 while Susan Boyle finished second in Britain’s Got Talent Season 3 in 2009.
The second episode of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” will air on January 14, 2019 with another 10 finalists or winners from previous seasons of “America’s Got Talent” and from Got Talent franchises worldwide.
