English singer-songwriter Dua Lipa (age 23) said in an interview with GQ magazine that she would love to do the Bond theme tune.
According to Mikey Goldsworthy, bassist of the British synth-pop band, Years & Years, they’re not doing the song for the next James Bond movie which is directed by English director Danny Boyle.
Mikey Goldworthy heard that the task had been given to Dua Lipa.
When Dua Lipa was asked if she really is now doing the song for the upcoming James Bond movie, she said:
I have no idea about this. I haven’t! I don’t even know where all these rumours began. But of course I’d love to do the Bond theme tune.
When asked if she had no contact with the James Bond producers, she answered:
Exactly. But so many amazing artists have done it. It would be a great opportunity. If the rumours are true, I’m over the moon.
